Tip Tuesday: Don't Be So Uptight!

Ladies, I cannot stress this enough:

Don't Tie Too Tight

[ be aware of how tight you tie your hair ]

When we tie our hair up, many of us have the habit of making it as tight-as-humanly-possible in hopes of finally achieving that *perfect* Ariana-esque high ponytail.

There's nothing wrong with a perfectly slicked-back high ponytail, but here's where things get messy: The tighter you tie your hair, the more tension you put on your fragile hair strands — which causes them to break at the roots

Another common mistake is tying up wet hair. Wet hair is fragile and prone to breakage, tying it while wet causes it to stretch which leads to damage. It is very important to completely dry your hair before styling it!

Sometimes we do what we gotta do, but please, for your strands sake, don't tie too tight! Fully drying your hair may not seem possible with a time limit, but this is where things aren't so messy — our best-selling Microfiber Hair Wraps! These babies reduce drying time by a whopping 50% *PLUS* they totally eliminate frizz in the process! How much time would you save if you could cut your daily routine in half?

 Other great ideas are:

  • Um, have you heard of a loose messy bun? ;)
  • Blow-dry your hair with cool air before tying it up
  • Let your hair air-dry naturally
  • Alternate styles and don't wear a high ponytail everyday
  • Use softer hair ties without metal pieces

Thanks for reading! Until next time babes, xoxo.
